Two readings of the same carbon, at vereda level: the baseline (how much carbon there was in the reference year and how much there is today, with the 2006–2026 annual series and its uncertainty interval) and the calculator (what that stock means in carbon-market language).
The baseline starts in 2006: the first year of the series carries an edge artifact and the backend rejects 2005 as a reference year.
Stored carbon is natural capital, not sellable credits. Credits come from the new carbon captured each year or from avoided deforestation, and only if the project meets additionality, permanence, buffer and leakage control under a standard such as Verra VCS, Gold Standard, BanCO2 or Cercarbono. BioAurea provides the measurement and the evidence, not the issuance or sale of credits.
